Objectives are one of the corner stone of the modern actor's craft but all too frequently objectives can tie an actor down to one path of thinking, creating rigid blinkered performances
This is an excellent workshop seeks to reframe the foundations of Stanislavski's System into a simple set of games. Allowing actors to concentrate on reacting to obstacles and creating connected and inventive performances that are different every night
Entwining Stanislavski's work on obstacles and objectives in conjunction with techniques laid out by clowning practitioners such as John Wright this workshop reminds us of the importance of play within an actors work and seeks to replace actors with "reactors"
